A quick reminder from Geoff McFetridge, one of our favorite artists out there, on what getting a Yes looks like. We often say in Fishbird that it's a leader's job to eat resignation. What we mean by this is that, if you're up to something big enough, you'll most likely be getting a lot of resistance to your actions from those who are more interested in maintaining the status quo. It can be easy to take this resistance as proof that your brilliant idea isn't so brilliant after all. This is usually where the best and brightest of us stop and turn around. Don't. You're on the right track. Learn to make No your fuel source: eat it up like it's your favorite meal of the day. Let it power you through the meetings where they try to kill your idea off. Eventually, the No's will stop coming. They will be replaced by Yes.
